Can’t get much prettier than this!

Mint…I better keep an eye on this plant!

One of the old barns. It houses tractors and tools and cats. Tractors and tools and cats…oh my. Tractors and tools and cats, oh my!
What the cats really do in the barn:

It was Saturday, November 24, 2007. All the right words were said. Her readers glanced over the eloquent thought provoking posts…until they came to this one. Some read with excitement and anticipation. Would she keep her promise?…would she deny the mere existence of the post, hoping that everyone would forget? No…
But then, one faithful day, she took time out of her crazy insane chaotic unreal nutty day to aspire that one day (hopefully in the very near future)…she just might write about……
conquering LAUNDRY.

What are some of the baby names that you came up with for your children, but decided not to use?
My husband had a list of names for his future children. The list started with the name Bronco. Enough said. I appologize if you are reading and have in fact named your child Bronco. It may have been the right fit for your strapping lad, but it wasn’t settling well in my mind.

It snowed today. For a long time. In light of this, I thought that I would post some summer pictures to, you know…encourage all of you out there who don’t particulary enjoy the cold wet stuff. The first pic is of my oldest peanut and his homemade slingshot. Following the creation of his magnificent weapon, I nervously watched as he tried to hurl stones in the air like David (did to Goliath) in the general direction of his younger brothers. Thankfully, his task didn’t succeed. Boys will be boys.

The above (middle picture) is our very beautiful, very knotty old tree in the front yard. A little bit of absess growth. Why can trees have absess growth and everything’s just peachy? If a human has any excessive growth, it is considered a bad thing. Hmmm…
The last picture is of our thriving cherry tomato plants. We successfully grew ten ripe cherry tomatoes. When I said ‘thriving’ I was hoping that you would pick up on the sense of sarcasim in my voice.

Need an example of the title of this post?…ok, I’ll give you one
Every check that I have written since January 1st, has been written using the correct year-2008, to be precise. Why is this strange? I’m glad you asked! Every year, I make the mistake of writing the wrong date on our checks for the months of Jan-Feb and sometimes even March.
